A Letter to Myself

Oh my child,

You are safe in the palm of my hand

In the curve of my lap.

There is no falling,

No breaking, no doubting.

Here is a place of soothing voices,

Loving arms and adoring eyes.

You are a light on the world

Just by being in it.

Here on my lap in this moment,

My heart is your heart.

It will not leave you.

You are free to be the you that you already are.

So, glow.

  1. This poem is just beautiful. I plan to share this with my 10 year old daughter who needs to learn to love herself for who she is. As we all need to love ourselves for who we are.
